The NSW Association of Disability Sport
With core funding from NSW Sport and Recreation, The NSW Sports Federation Inc. is the umbrella organisation for organisations in NSW who service people with a disability through the provision of sport and recreation programs and services.
The NSW Sports Federation’s Association of Disability Sports (NSWADS) was formed in 2005 with its main aim being to service people with a disability through the disability sports member associations. The NSWADS Management Committee consists of representatives from NSW Sports Federation Inc., NSW Sport and Recreation and disability sport ‘Member Associations’.
NSWADS aims to provide a canvas of opportunities for athletes striving to fulfil their dreams.From grassroots to elite, NSWADS provides opportunities for athletes through the Member Associations to help them reach their goals.
The NSW Association of Disability Sports is dedicated to equipping Member Associations with the power and backing to help develop and continue providing disabled athletes with the ability to do what they do best.
Through project and administration funding as well as educational tools such as seminars and workshops, the NSW Association of Disability Sports is focused on changing the face of Disability Sport in NSW.
About the NSW Sports Federation Inc.
The NSW Sports Federation is a not-for-profit organisation which represents a range of sporting organisations and interests as the united and collective ‘voice of sport' in NSW.
The Federation fosters the development of sport and raises and responds to issues that impact sport in NSW.
Members include State Sporting Organisations, sport associations and clubs, industry bodies and interested individuals. Members are provided with support, news and information, representation in lobbying and on various industry committees, plus education and networking opportunities.
